About a million people worldwide became millionaires in 2025. How many of those new millionaires were American?

The US added more than 440,000 millionaires in 2025, close to half the world's total, or over 1,000 a day. Britain added more than 43,000, and France, Spain, Japan and India each added more than 30,000. The rest was scattered thin. Not one of the 56 markets UBS tracks ended 2025 with fewer millionaires than it began, and the fastest growth was in Eastern Europe, with Lithuania at 8%.

The US added more than 440,000 new millionaires in 2025. That is over 1,000 every day.
