81% of American adults say they like or love classic rock, more than any other genre, with pop next at 76% and only 3% saying they hate it. It's also the single most common favorite genre at 19%, but that's people over 45 talking: among adults under 30, just 4% call classic rock their favorite, compared to 18% for rap and hip-hop.
