Eleven minutes, measured across 3 million nights of sleep-tracker data. Snoozing turns out to be a national habit as much as a personal one. The US, Sweden and Germany snooze most; Japan and Australia least. The people who snoozed least of all were those sleeping five hours or fewer.
The snooze button gets hit on 56% of mornings. The average snoozer wins back 11 extra minutes in bed.
