Just 31% of US households still subscribe to traditional cable, satellite, or telco TV. That leaves roughly 40 million homes on old-school connections, down from 97 million in 2016. Yet live TV isn't dead: counting digital bundles like YouTube TV and Sling, 61 million American homes still pay for a live lineup every month.
