The US gets 9% of its electricity from solar. What percent of Pakistan's electricity is solar?

19%, and about 7 million Pakistani households put the panels up themselves. Electricity prices climbed while Chinese solar panels got cheap, so households and businesses stopped waiting on utilities and began generating their own. Demand fell so far that the government plans to cancel as many as 57 tanker loads of gas it had already booked for 2026 and 2027.

Solar is 19% of Pakistan's electricity, and 7 million households built it themselves. The US is at 9%.
